Проповедь для сиднейского прихода Казанской Иконы Божией Матери
Во имя Отца и Сына и Св. Духа,
Братья и сестры,
Сегодня день вашего престольного праздника – обретение Казанской иконы Божией Матери. В прошлом году из-за карантина в Мельбурне я не мог прибыть лично для празднования вашего праздника. Теперь же и вам самим невозможно достойно отпраздновать его из-за карантина в Сиднее.
Не имея возможности видеть вас, хочу обратиться к вам с этим посланием.
Казанская икона Богородицы была обретена 8 (21) июля 1579 г. после пожара в Казани, уничтожившего значительную часть города. Десятилетней девочке Матроне явилась во сне Божия Матерь и повелела откопать Ее икону на месте сгоревшего дома. Икона была обретена, и много чудес стало совершаться от нее.
Казанский священник Ермолай, участник обретения иконы, описал эти события и чудеса, а также написал и службу Казанской иконе Божией Матери. Священник Ермолай после смерти супруги принял монашество с именем Гермогена и в последствии стал митрополитом Казани, а затем и патриархом Московским. Таким образом, св. патриарх Гермоген является автором вдохновенной молитвы Богородице, которую вы часто слышите в вашем храме:
«Заступнице усердная, Мати Господа Вышняго, за всех молиши Сына Твоего, Христа Бога нашего…» (тропарь Казанской иконы)
Патриаршее служение св. Гермогена совпало с тяжелейшими испытаниями для Руси в период так называемого «Смутного времени». В Москве хозяйничали польские отряды, засевшие в Кремле. Стала реальностью возможность отпадения Руси от Православия в католичество.
Святой Патриарх, находясь в заключении в кремлевском Чудовом монастыре, рассылал по городам воззвания, призывая русских людей собирать войска для освобождения Москвы. Русское ополчение выступило, имея с собой чудотворную Казанскую икону, и помощью Богородицы, Москва была освобождена. Но св. патриарх Гермоген не дожил до освобождения, изменники уморили его голодом в темнице.
В честь Казанской иконы установлено было празднование 22 октября (4 ноября), когда русское ополчение одержало победу над поляками и освободило Москву. В память этого события на Красной площади в Москве был выстроен Казанский собор, где был поставлен список с Казанской иконы.
В настоящее время также развязана неслыханная, небывалая, мировая война, но не против одной страны – православной Руси, а против всего человечества. Это война жестокая и безжалостная, но в то же время, лукавая и скрытная. Как и в любой войне, ее задача уничтожение и порабощение. Главное оружие в этой войне – ложь. В официальной версии «пандемии» все, от начала до конца, – злонамеренный подлог.
Известные специалисты уже открыто говорят, что как сам коронавирус, так и вакцины от него – это не что иное, как биологическое оружие.
Создается впечатление, что у правителей государств сейчас нет никаких других забот, кроме одной, – ввести некий биологический препарат в тело каждого человека на земле. Для достижения этой цели употребляется неперестающая пропаганда, обман и запугивание.
Враги Бога и человечества неустанно трудятся, не жалея никаких средств для достижения своего диавольского плана. Мы можем только гадать о их целях, но несомненно то, что последствия коронавирусной вакцинации будут губительны как для телесного, так и для душевного здоровья.
В руках сильных мира сего сосредоточены неограниченные средства, казалось бы, им все повинуется. Но это лишь видимость. Что может быть слабее человека, решившегося враждовать с Самим Богом? Что может быть безумнее, смешнее, чем война тварей против своего Творца?
“Живый на небесех посмеется им, и Господь поругается им” (Пс. 2, 4)
Господь Вседержитель дал человеку свободу, и Он не препятствует Своим врагам действовать. Но Он попускает им достигать успеха только тогда и только в той мере, сколько эти действия врагов Его содействуют Его божественному плану.
Какие бы невзгоды ни ждали нас в будущем, не будем забывать, что с нами Бог, Распорядитель судеб всего мира и каждого из нас.
Будем прибегать к заступлению Царицы Небесной молясь Ей словами тропаря:
«Заступнице усердная, Мати Господа Вышняго, за всех молиши Сына Твоего, Христа Бога нашего, и всем твориши спастися, в державный Твой покров прибегающих. Всех нас заступи, о Госпоже Царице и Владычице, иже в напастех и скорбех и в болезнех, обремененных грехи многими, предстоящих и молящихся Тебе умиленною душею и сокрушенным сердцем пред пречистым Твоим образом со слезами, и невозвратно надежду имущих на Тя, избавления всех зол, всем полезная даруй и вся спаси, Богородице Дево: Ты бо еси Божественный покров рабом Твоим».

Kazan Icon of the Mother of God
Sermon for the Sydney parish of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God

Brothers and sisters,
Today is your parish’s Feast Day – the finding of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God. Last year, I was unable to come personally to celebrate your Feast Day due to Melbourne’s quarantine. Now, it’s impossible for you to worthily celebrate your Feast Day due to the quarantine in Sydney.
Unable to visit you, I would like to address you with the following homily:
The Kazan Mother of God Icon was found on the 8th (21) July 1579, after a fire in Kazan, which destroyed a significant part of the city. The Mother of God appeared in a dream to a 10-year-old girl Matrona and told her to unearth Her Icon on the site of a burnt-out house. The Icon was uncovered, and many miracles began to occur from her.
A Kazan priest Ermolai who witnessed the finding of the Icon, described these events and miracles, as well as composed a Service to the Kazan Mother of God Icon. Upon the death of his wife, he joined the monastics with the name of Hermogenes and subsequently became Metropolitan of Kazan, and finally Patriarch of Moscow. Thus, Saint Patriarch Hermogenes is the author of the inspirited prayer to the Mother of God, which you often hear in your church:
“O earnest helper, Mother of the Lord Most High, thou dost entreat Christ, thy Son and our God…” (Troparion of the Kazan icon).
The Patriarch’s ministry of Saint Hermogenes coincided with the most severe ordeal for Russia during the so-called period of the “Time of Troubles”. Polish detachments, entrenched in the Kremlin, lorded over Moscow. The possibility of Russia falling away from Orthodoxy to Catholicism became a reality.
Being imprisoned in the Kremlin’s Chudov Monastery, the Holy Patriarch sent out appeals throughout townships, calling on the Russian people to assemble forces to liberate Moscow. The Russian militia came out with the Miracle-Working Kazan Icon and with the help of the Mother of God, Moscow was set free. However, Saint Patriarch Hermogenes didn’t live long enough to see the liberation: traitors starved him to death in his dungeon.
In honour of the Kazan icon, a celebration was established on October 22 (November 4), when the Russian forces secured their victory against the Poles and freed Moscow. In memory of this event, the Kazan Cathedral was erected in the Red Square in Moscow, where a copy of the Kazan icon was placed.
Today, an unheard-of, unprecedented, world war is also unleashed, but not against one country – Orthodox Russia, but against all Mankind. This war is cruel and merciless, but at the same time – cunning and clandestine. Just as in any war, its task is to destroy and enslave. The main weaponry in this war is lies. In the official narrative of the current “pandemic”, everything from beginning to end is a malicious forgery.
Renowned experts are now openly saying that both the coronavirus itself, and the vaccination against it are nothing more than biological weaponry.
One gets the impression that the leaders of states have no other concerns except one – to inject some kind of biological substance into the body of every human being on earth. In order to achieve this goal, continuous propaganda, deceit, and intimidation are applied.
Enemies of God and Humanity are tirelessly labouring – not sparing any resources – to achieve their devilish plan. We can only speculate about their aims, but there is no doubt that the consequences of coronavirus vaccinations will be ruinous for both physical and spiritual health.
In the hands of the powerful of this world, unlimited resources are concentrated, it would seem that everything obeys them. However, this is only an illusion. Who can be weaker than a human that has decided to battle with God Himself? What can be more demented, laughable than to war against your own Creator?
“He that dwelleth in heaven shall laugh at them: and the Lord shall deride them” (Ps. 2, 4)
The Lord Almighty gave man freedom, and He doesn’t obstruct His enemies to act. However, He allows them to achieve success only when, and only in that measure of how much these actions of His enemies contribute to His Divine plan.
Whatever misfortunes that may await us in the future, let us not forget that God is with us, Determinant of the world’s fate and the fate of each of us.
Let us seek refuge in the intercession of the Heavenly Queen, praying to Her with the words of the Troparion:
“O earnest helper, Mother of the Lord Most High, thou dost entreat Christ, thy Son and our God, in behalf of all, and causes all to be saved who have recourse to thy mighty protection. O Lady, Queen and Mistress, help us all who, amid temptations, sorrows and sickness, are heavy laden with many sins, who stand before thee and with tears pray to thee with compunctionate soul and contrite heart before thine all-pure image, and who have unfailing hope in thee: grant deliverance from all evils, and things profitable unto all, O Virgin Theotokos, and save us all, for thou art the divine protection of thy servants.”
