OPEN LETTER TO HUMANITY

Help us O God of our salvation, for the glory of Your name; And deliver us, and provide atonement for our sins”. (Psalm 79:9).
The fool has said in his heart: “There is no God”, so God in His mercy, responded to show the error of such a statement, and the response was “coronavirus” pandemic. Why “in His mercy”? Because He is attempting to show humanity that its profligate lifestyle is to its own detriment and wellbeing. Indeed, he is showing the “error of our ways” in the hope that we “awake to righteousness and do not sin”.
In today’s milieu, such words and directives are only worthy of a good belly laugh and a slap on the thigh… Sin… indeed! What a joke in today’s hedonistic, carnal and self-indulgent lifestyle! But humanity is saying: “What sin? What self-indulgent lifestyle?” and continues along the destructive Sodom and Gomorrah path, oblivious to God’s Providence in today’s, and indeed past epidemics that have been sent by Him to awaken us to the reality of SIN i.e. violation of God’s Teachings.
As in any other given situation, violation of a law fragments society and brings upon itself the punishment of the law, whether it is a civil or spiritual law. Unfortunately, today’s society has ignored Christ’s Law and is suffering its consequences. The spiritual factor in this drama has been completely overlooked, and its mention earns derision and rejection by the masses as they engage in frantic struggles in shopping aisles to secure a toilet roll. The fact that this mindless and panic driven action carries no answers or any rational thought, escapes the combatants as they engage in their daily forays in shopping centres.
The tragedy of these foolish acts lies in the absence of society’s approach to this problem. Given the information that the virus emanated from China’s (confirmed in the past) disease-ridden “wet markets” in Wuhan, society is satisfied with this explanation without asking the vital question as to WHY the disease came about in the markets. Of course we are told that it’s because of atrocious parts of animals that are sold there to satisfy and satiate deformed tastes of the Chinese wealthy… but why are does parts contaminated with frightening diseases? It’s an established fact that while natives – throughout the world – ate these parts as part of their daily diet (which doesn’t violate God’s law), why do these parts create diseases?
The answer is twofold: to eat an animal and all of its body to SURVIVE doesn’t violate God’s Laws. However, to eat normally rejected parts of the body for the sake of hedonistic satisfaction and appease a debased taste – is a sin, because it’s not a question of survival, but a corrupt satiation of one’s repulsive proclivity.
God, in His wisdom, has sent this disease to give humanity an opportunity to ask: “WHY”? To give it an opportunity for self-examination… to question its motives and examine the purpose in life… to realise there are higher meanings and ambitions in life than earthly imperatives, which are ephemeral and very unstable. In His leniency and desire to awaken people to the true reason for the virus, He allowed time for contemplation through “lock-downs” and strict movement of people, giving them an enforced reason time to think.
Many would laugh and scoff at the above observations, stating that since the beginning of Mankind, viruses and wide-spread illnesses have always plagued it in one form or another – and that’s quite true. But so has sin been a constant feature in its existence – in one form or another.
This current warning from God in the form of coronavirus should sober our minds and jolt us spiritually because there is no other underlying factor which can explain its existence. Of course the physical explanation is clear to all – the disease evolved and was exposed to the world by the unhygienic and noxious Wuhan “wet” markets. The questions to be asked are: but why now, as the disgusting practice has been in vogue for countless decades: and why in this deadly form and not past nature, when vaccines were developed quickly that halted the spread?
The answer is that because despite God’s past admonishments in different forms were of lesser impact i.e. fires, viruses, tsunamis, droughts, floods etc… the world has ignored the signs, and in fact, immersed itself deeper into a quagmire of degeneracy that is devoid of spiritual, moral and ethical imperatives, which are so essential for a healthy society to be healthy.
However, before someone rejects the above as an exercise of human imagination, let us consider the following facts and figures and then ask: “Why is it so?”
1974/5: “Sexual orientation” is made legal, thereby accepting sexual deviancy and opening the floodgates to sexual aberrant and abhorrent behaviour.
“Coincidentally”: Bushfires burn and destroy 15% of Australia’s bush – 117 MILLION hectares, which equates to the land mass total of Portugal, Spain and France combined!
1978/9: Prostitution de-criminalised.
“Coincidentally”: Millions of hectares burn, killing 3 people, destroying critical infrastructure and 48 homes.
1988/9: Brothels are legalised.
“Coincidentally”: Over 200,000 hectares burn destroying 383 houses and killing 28 people.
1994/5: Homosexuality decriminalised.
“Coincidentally”: 2 million hectares burned, 4 persons killed and 225 homes destroyed.
2008/9: Lowering age of consent to 16 years of age.
“Coincidentally”: Worst bushfire in Australia’s history – killing 119 people, injuring 414, destroying 2029 homes and 3500 other buildings.
2017 – 2019: Same sex marriage and abortion legalised.
“Coincidentally”: Over 18 million hectares burned, 24 people dead and over 8000 buildings destroyed.
Which now leads us to 2020 and coronavirus…
It’s quite clear that the ongoing warnings are falling on deaf ears, and societies are continuing to disregard their true meaning and purpose by accelerating their drift away from Christ’s Teachings. They are creating their own self-destruction without realising it, and are giving rise to mass suicide.
Unless mankind rouses from its lethal slumber and ponders of the true reality of its parlous state, doom and ensuing damnation are inevitable.
The everyday skirmishes in supermarket isles by shoppers for toilet rolls just emphasises the distorted ambitions that has enveloped them, because while the paper plays an important role in keeping the body clean, it will certainly not wipe away the sins of an individual.
May God grant them true spiritual wisdom because: “Surely he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence”. (Psalm 90:3).
